STURDY

Creator terms

The short version: anyone can join, the perks are earned by results, we pay what the pass says, and you tell your viewers when a video earned you something.

Joining

  • The creator pass is free and open to anyone with a Minecraft account linked to a Discord account on Sturdy. Joining gives you a progress bar, not a title. Every perk on the track is earned.
  • You must be old enough to use Discord where you live. To receive money from Sturdy or through Tebex you must be 18 or older, or have a parent or guardian hold the account that is paid.
  • One pass per person. A second account, a shared account or an account made to game the pass loses every level and every perk, and anything paid to it may be taken back in Gems.
  • Sturdy staff may join and earn levels. Cameron, the owner, is never scored.

What counts

  • Clips and videos count once they are approved in the Discord. Approval checks that the content is about Sturdy, is yours, and follows the server rules. Approval is not a review of quality.
  • Views are read by Sturdy from YouTube and Twitch. For TikTok and Instagram you send a screenshot of the analytics and staff check it. Views count when a video crosses a bar on the track, not per view. Bought, botted or looped views, or views on a video that is not about Sturdy, count for nothing, and a video found that way is removed from your record.
  • Players you bring count when a new player names you with /ref and then plays 5 hours on the network. Your own accounts, and accounts you control, do not count.
  • Streams count while your linked Twitch channel is live, playing Minecraft, with Sturdy in the title, and you are online on the network. Viewers are read from Twitch, with a cap per stream so a raid does not count as an audience.
  • Everything is counted by the system from what it can see. Where staff check something by hand, their decision is final, and you can ask about it in the Discord.

Getting paid

  • Gems are paid to your Minecraft account on the network. They are a game currency, have no cash value, and cannot be withdrawn or transferred.
  • Your store code is created in Tebex when you unlock it. Tebex pays your share of each sale made with your code, under Tebex's terms, to a Tebex account in your name. Your share is the percentage shown on your track at the time of the sale. Purchases made under your own name do not count toward the pass.
  • Cash bonuses, where the track shows one, are paid by Sturdy by PayPal within 30 days of the level or the bar being reached, to an account in your name or your guardian's. You are responsible for any tax on what you receive.
  • We pay what the track says on the day you reach it. If a number on the track changes, levels already reached keep what they paid.

What you must say

If a video, clip or stream earns you anything from Sturdy, or could, your viewers must be told. Turn on your platform's paid promotion or branded content setting, or write #ad in the caption. One line is enough. This is the law in the United States and most places, and it is the one rule of the pass that we will not bend. A video without it does not count, and repeated misses remove you from the pass.

Your content

  • Your content stays yours. By submitting a clip you let Sturdy show it on sturdymc.com, in the Discord and on Sturdy's own social accounts, with your name on it. Ask in the Discord and we take it down.
  • Content submitted to the pass follows the server rules: Sturdy is all-ages. Content that breaks them is refused, and may cost you the pass.
  • Do not say or imply that you work for Sturdy, speak for it, or that a partnership exists beyond what your track shows. "Sturdy creator" is fine. "Sturdy partner" is a level, not a job.

Changes and endings

  • The numbers on the track, the perks and these terms can change. We post changes in the Discord 14 days before they apply, except changes that close a loophole, which apply at once. Your level and your XP never reset.
  • You can leave the pass at any time from your creator hub or with /creator leave. Leaving cannot be undone. Your level, XP, channels and awards are deleted and will not be restored; Gems already paid stay yours; a store code is closed in Tebex. If you join again later, you start over from your results, and a level that already paid you never pays twice.
  • We can remove a creator from the pass for breaking these terms, the server rules or the law, for faking numbers, or for conduct that harms Sturdy or its players. We say why. A ban from the network ends the pass with it.
  • Sturdy can end or pause the pass. If it does, every level reached is paid as the track said, and we give 30 days' notice.

Your data

What the pass keeps about you and why is in the privacy page's creator section. Questions go to [email protected] or the Discord.

These terms sit alongside the server rules and the privacy page. Where they disagree, the stricter rule applies.
