What is the Sturdy MC server IP?
play.sturdymc.com, on Minecraft: Java Edition, no port. It lands you in the hub. Survival's own address is survival.sturdymc.com. The steps are on the join page.
Which Minecraft versions can join?
Any Java Edition version from 1.13 to 26.3. The servers run 26.2, and 26.2 and 26.3 show everything as intended; older clients get in, but newer blocks and the text effects may not look right. More on versions.
Can I join on Bedrock, console or phone?
No. Sturdy is Java Edition only, and there is no plan to change that. See versions and Bedrock.
Do I need mods, an application or a whitelist spot?
No mods, no application, no whitelist. A vanilla client works. The steps are on the join page.
Do I need a paid Minecraft account?
Yes, an official Minecraft: Java Edition account. Your identity is checked with Mojang when you join (how the network is built).
Does the world reset?
The home world has never been reset and never will be. The Resource World is the one that regenerates, about once a month, so dig there and build at home. The worlds are explained in the Survival guide.
Can my builds be griefed?
Not in a town: everything inside a claimed town is protected. Take a free plot in StarterVille or found your own town. See Survival.
Is there PvP?
Only where it counts: the Warzone and the spawn Arena, never inside a town. The four worlds explain where PvP is on.
How do I start a town?
Take a free plot in StarterVille the moment you arrive, or found your own town the same day with /town new <name>. Costs and upkeep are in the towns section of the guide.
How do I make money?
Jobs (twelve of them, paid as you work), voting ($100 a vote) and, from the Merchant rank, your own chest shop. The economy is player-run: you trade with players, not with the server. See money and jobs.
Can ranks be bought?
The rank ladder is earned by playing and is never sold. Premium ranks are bought once with Gems and sit beside the ladder, never above it: cosmetics, convenience and workers. See the rank ladder.
What are Gems?
The network's premium currency. You earn them by voting and by linking your Discord, or buy them in the store. Your Gems work on every Sturdy server. See the player guide.
Is Sturdy free to play?
Yes. The store sells crate keys and Gems; premium ranks are bought in game with Gems. Everything in a crate can also be won by playing.
When does the server restart?
Survival restarts daily at 3 am Pacific (10:00 UTC) for about a minute. The status page shows every server live.
Is there a resource pack?
Yes. Survival sends a small, required pack that changes only text (rank tags and name effects), nothing about blocks or items. If it fails to download, see the join page.
How do I report someone or appeal a ban?
Report in #reports on the Discord. Appeals go by DM to a Moderator there. The rules explain both.

Owners who play on it most evenings, US time, and who answer in the Discord. More on the about page.
